The beloved Sanibel Island Independence Day Parade is back for its 31st year, kicking off at 9:30 am on July 4th. This year’s theme is “Stronger Together,” promising a showcase of community spirit and patriotism.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Date & Time: Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at 9:30 am
- Parade Route: Starting at the corner of Tarpon Bay Road and Periwinkle Way, traveling east on Periwinkle Way to Casa Ybel Road.
- Road Closures: Periwinkle Way will be closed from Donax Street to Tarpon Bay Road from 9:00 am to noon. Please plan alternative routes if necessary.
Tips for Spectators:
- Arrive early to secure your spot along the parade route. Remember, roads close at 9:00 am!
- Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
- Stay hydrated with bottled water, especially under the summer sun.
- Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended for a comfortable outdoor experience.
