This Memorial Day, the Sanibel community is invited to gather in a moment of remembrance and unity for Taps Across America, a nationwide tribute honoring the men and women who gave their lives in military service.
William A. Larson, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, will perform the iconic military bugle call “Taps” on Monday, May 26, at 3 p.m. at his home located at 4597 Bowen Bayou Road, Sanibel.
The Larsons, William and his wife Debbie, are hosting the event as part of the national Taps Across America initiative, which encourages Americans to pause and reflect at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day—a moment designated by Congress as the National Moment of Remembrance.
