After facing the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian in 2022 and subsequent storms, Congress Jewelers has officially reopened its Sanibel location at the Periwinkle Place Shops. The reopening comes after more than two years of rebuilding and marks a significant milestone in both the store’s and the island’s recovery journey.
A Testament to Resilience
Rebuilding the store required perseverance and dedication, as owner Scot Congress shared:
“The journey to reopen has been challenging, but our dedication to this community has never wavered. We are incredibly grateful for the support from our friends, family, and the entire community, which has helped us reach this point.”
The reopening coincides with the city’s 50th anniversary, further highlighting the resilience and unity of the Sanibel community.
Grand Reopening Celebration
Congress Jewelers will host its grand reopening on December 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sanibel location. The event will feature a Designer Showcase, bringing renowned jewelry designers from around the world to celebrate the occasion.
The Holiday Designer Showcase will continue on December 12–14 at the store’s Bell Tower location in Fort Myers.
