JOG N JAM 2026: Run, Rock, and Give Back in Sanibel

The JOG N JAM is officially returning to the Gulf coast next month, and this highly anticipated annual tradition promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Featuring a 10K, a 5K, a kids’ fun run, and a spectacular beach concert with fireworks, the JOG N JAM is a massive community gathering. Every aspect of this event is dedicated to supporting the vital local programs of FISH of SanCap.

For both locals and seasonal visitors, the JOG N JAM is the perfect opportunity to embrace active living, enjoy world-class live music, and give back to a deeply cherished island organization.

What to Expect at the 2026 JOG N JAM Race

The signature JOG N JAM fundraising race will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Runners will gather at The Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way.

While the event originally began as a dedicated 10K, it has beautifully evolved over the years. Committee Chair Leah Winkler noted that adding the 5K route allowed the event to blossom. It now welcomes participants who prefer to walk or jog at a more leisurely pace.

Additionally, families can take advantage of the kids’ fun run. This portion of the JOG N JAM is completely free for children under the age of 10.

Organizers are seeing a massive surge in community excitement this year. Registration is already trending 32% higher than last year, with at least 600 participants expected to toe the starting line.

Runners can register online through the official RunSignup portal or sign up on the morning of the race. For those organizing groups, the team division entry officially closes on Friday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m.

Race Day Logistics and Morning Festivities

Participants are highly encouraged to arrive by 7:00 a.m. to partake in a wonderful opening ceremony. The morning will be highlighted by Sanibel School student Harrison McNeilus, who will sing the national anthem.

At exactly 7:30 a.m., both the 10K and 5K participants will depart together in a shotgun start. The scenic route takes runners down Periwinkle Way before turning left onto Island Inn Road.

Pace signs will help direct 5K participants to the finish line, while 10K runners will continue onward. Once you cross the finish line, you will be greeted with fantastic fellowship and a wonderful spread of food donated by Bailey’s.

The JOG N JAM Beach Concert and Fireworks Experience

The JOG N JAM is not just a morning race; the celebration continues a few weeks later. On Saturday, December 5, 2026, the festivities move to the legendary ‘Tween Waters Inn & Marina on Captiva Drive.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., attendees will be treated to a live performance by The Ben Allen Band. To ensure safe and easy transportation, shuttle buses will begin running at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets for this evening of music and dancing are $75 for adults 19 and older. Veterans and students (ages 7-18) pay $50, and children 6 and younger are free. You can secure your concert passes at the official Jam RSVP page.

Attendees can expect two fully stocked bars on the beach. Guests are encouraged to grab a pizza from the resort to take down to the sand. Bring your beach chairs and wear comfortable clothes, as dancing in front of the stage is always a highlight of the JOG N JAM.

To cap off the unforgettable evening, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the Gulf sky at approximately 7:15 p.m. For those traveling to the island, ‘Tween Waters is offering exclusive discounts, making it an ideal choice for Southwest Florida weekend getaways.

Supporting the Heart of the Community

Every single ticket and donation associated with the JOG N JAM directly benefits the essential programs run by FISH of SanCap. These programs include the Food Pantry, Island Education, Senior and Social Services, and Helping Hands.

In addition to the race and concert, the event features a highly anticipated raffle. With 14 baskets packed with generous donations from local businesses, winners can take home prizes valued between $500 and $3,000. Raffle tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at the Sunday Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market or online.
