Sanibel Music Festival 2026: Violins on the Veranda Fundraiser

The Sanibel Music Festival 2026 season kicks off with a virtuosic flourish at Violins on the Veranda. On February 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Florida Trust Wealth Management will host this elegant soirèe at their verdant outdoor space on Periwinkle Way.

This evening is more than just a fundraiser; it is a gathering of islanders who value the transformative power of world-class chamber music. Attendees will enjoy a strolling violinist, scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, and fine wine in a beautiful garden setting—perfectly capturing the refined yet relaxed essence of Sanibel living.

The “Painting of the Year” Auction

A central highlight of the evening is the live auction of the Painting of the Year. For the 39th anniversary, Sanibel watercolor artist Carol Good has provided a stunning work titled “Colorful Roseate Spoonbill.”

Inspired by a photograph by Gary Shaver, the painting features the iconic pink bird, often considered a “spirit animal” for emotional healing and creativity. The original watercolor will be auctioned to support the festival’s mission of bringing world-class musicians to our island.
