After temporarily relocating to Bell Tower in Fort Myers following Hurricane Ian, Congress Jewelers has officially returned to its original home at Periwinkle Place Shops in Sanibel. The highly anticipated reopening took place on Dec. 6, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the SanCap Chamber on Feb. 6 to mark the occasion.
“The support from our clientele and the chamber has been immeasurable,” said owner Scot Congress. “Our opening night coincided with the chamber’s Luminary event, which drew an incredible crowd of over 1,400 people—making it the third most successful in our history.”
Despite the return to Sanibel, Congress Jewelers will continue operating both its Sanibel and Fort Myers locations, offering an exquisite collection of fine jewelry, including the renowned Sealife by Congress collection.
“Our new Sanibel store has a completely different feel,” Congress shared. “The layout is brighter and airier, capturing the essence of the beach and the island’s natural beauty.”
SanCap Chamber President and CEO John Lai emphasized the significance of Congress Jewelers’ return, saying, “For four generations, the Congress family has represented quality and personalized service. Their reopening is a major win for the Sanibel shopping scene.”
Congress Jewelers is now open at 2075 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
