Registration and ticket sales are now open for the annual JOG N JAM event, benefitting F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva. This year’s event takes place on December 7th and promises to be a fun-filled day celebrating the resilience of the islands and the 50th anniversary of the City of Sanibel.
The festivities kick off with a 10K and 5K race at the Sanibel Community House, followed by a kids’ fun run at the Sanibel Community Park. Later that afternoon, the party moves to ‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa on Captiva for a concert featuring the band Funk You, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display on the beach.

“We’re thrilled to offer this event that supports the incredible work of F.I.S.H.,” says event co-chair and F.I.S.H. Board Member Leah Winkler. “Last year, we saw a fantastic turnout with over 530 registered runners and a lively concert crowd. There’s so much to experience before and after the event, making it a perfect weekend getaway.”
Race Details
The 10K starts at 7:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 7:15 AM. Both races will be professionally timed by Lin-Mark Sports using the Chronotrack Timing System. The kids’ fun run is anticipated to take place shortly after the main races, with award presentations following.
Every runner will receive a finisher’s medal and a commemorative T-shirt. Additional awards will be given for top overall male and female finishers, first place male and female, and by age group. Please note that awards are only available to in-person participants.
Race Registration Fees
Registration fees are tiered, with the lowest rate of $45 available through September 30th. Prices will increase as the event date approaches. The kids’ fun run (ages 10 and under) is free, but registration is still required.
Concert Information
Food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the concert venue. Please note that outside food and alcohol are strictly prohibited. Concert-goers are encouraged to use ride-sharing services or take advantage of the F.I.S.H.-provided shuttle service.
Concert tickets are also tiered, with the lowest rate of $75 available through September 30th. Prices will increase as the event date approaches.

Your participation in JOG N JAM directly benefits F.I.S.H., the islands’ only human services organization dedicated to “neighbors helping neighbors.” Their mission is to enrich the lives of all residents of Sanibel and Captiva by providing social services, education, and assistance.
