Sanibel Recreation Center Releases Latest Program Schedule

Community wellness and social connection remain in full swing on Sanibel Island. The Sanibel Recreation Center has released its latest schedule of upcoming community events, wellness workshops, health screenings, and adult sports leagues.

In a nutshell: The Rec Center is rolling out special wellness sessions, free community health checks, dance classes, and registration for the upcoming Fall Co-Ed Softball League.

Whether you are looking to relax, dance, monitor your wellness, or get competitive on the diamond, here are the key dates to add to your calendar:

• Echos Of Nature Sound Bowl Experience: July 22 at 5:30 PM. Led by instructor Dani, this restorative sound bowl session offers deep relaxation. Cost: $15 for members | $20 for non-members (Registration required).

• Free Community Blood Pressure Checks: July 27 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Offered directly by the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District. Cost: Completely free and open to the public.

• Dance! Dance! Dance! Workshop: July 29 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM. An energetic movement session led by Ravah Daley. Cost: $20 for members | $25 for non-members (Registration required).

Looking ahead to the autumn months, the Rec Center is officially accepting team registrations for its popular Fall Softball League.

Facility Hours & Account Help

The Sanibel Recreation Center is located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. In addition to fitness equipment and swimming pools, residents can also purchase official city beach parking permits directly at the front desk.

Operating Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Sunday: Closed

Staff members are available at the front desk or by phone at 239-472-0345 to assist new and existing members with setting up or managing their CivicRec online accounts. A wide range of flexible membership plans, daily passes, and punch cards are available.
