Sunseeker Resort Applies for Permit to Build 17-Acre Marina

Sunseeker Resort, a 785-room waterfront resort in Charlotte Harbor, Florida, has applied for a permit to build a 17-acre marina. The proposed marina would include 250 wet slips, 50 dry slips, a fuel dock, a ship’s store, and a restaurant.

The marina would be located on the south side of the resort, adjacent to the existing beach club. It would be accessible to both Sunseeker Resort guests and the public.

The marina would be a significant addition to the resort and to the Charlotte Harbor area. It would provide boaters with a new and convenient place to dock their boats, and it would offer guests a new way to explore the area’s waterways.

The marina would also create jobs and boost the local economy. The resort estimates that the marina would create 50 new jobs and generate $10 million in annual economic impact.

The permit application is currently being processed by the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners. If approved, construction on the marina could begin in early 2024 and be completed in late 2025.

The Sunseeker Resort marina would be a welcome addition to the Charlotte Harbor area. It would provide boaters with a new and convenient place to dock their boats, and it would offer guests a new way to explore the area’s waterways. The marina would also create jobs and boost the local economy.
